Our mission is to encourage, celebrate, promote, publish, and expand the genre of memoir. We believe that everyone has a story they need to tell as well as a story they need to hear. Our mission is to prevent the loss of these stories and the pain that void creates in individuals, families, the community, and the world. We wish everyone to feel the satisfaction, freedom and joy of telling, writing, reading or hearing these stories.
Memoirs Ink was founded in 2002 by professional freelance writer, Felice Austin. Having lost her own mother at eleven years old, Ms. Austin wanted to help others preserve their family legacies. For more then five years, Memoirs Ink has done this by writing memoirs for private clients, teaching writing classes, giving money to talented and promising writers in this genre, and most recently, creating high quality personal documentary films for individuals and families.
